The Evening Program is designed for diplomats, professors, businessmen, bankers and anyone who cannot participate in the Regular Program due to their daytime work. The program focuses on enhancing communication proficiency, which is essential for business people living in Korea.

Classes are offered 3 class hours a day (from 18:30 to 21:05), 3 days a week (Mon/Tue/Thur) for 10 weeks (total 90 class hours).  All Korean classes in every program are conducted only in Korean. Also, Students of Evening Program are required to attend at least 72hours (80%) Students who miss more than 18 hours a term will automatically fail.

For your reference, this program is non-extended visa program.

    Qualifications for Application

    A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum requirement for admission to the KLI Evening program.

    Required Documents

    • Online application (with photo)
    • A copy of the student's passport
    • A copy of the student’s transcript or diploma from the last school attended
    • A photocopy of your health insurance(which is valid in Korea for insurance claim)
    • A Copy of the student’s Alien Registration Card or 1 Copy of the visa.


    • 1) Fill out and submit the Online Registration Form
    • 2) Fill out and submit the Online Application Form using your ID and password
      * The webpage will provide personal banking account information for the application fee and tuition
    • 3) Send required documents yskliko@yonsei.ac.kr
    • 4)  Notice of Admission: The KLI will inform the student of acceptance to the program and provide personal banking account information by e-mail.
    • 5) Payment of Application Fee and Tuition
    • 6)Final Confirmation e-mail: KLI will send a confirmation e-mail after registration is completed

    * Payment should be sent to the virtual account designated to each applicant.

    • Tuition: 947,000won (Application Fee: 80,000won, Course Fee: 867,000won, as of 2018-2019)

    Class Placement


    All KLI students will be placed into students’ appropriate class in accordance with his/her Korean ability. Each class has more or less than 13 students. Each class will be divided by students’ gender and his/her Korean ability. If a class has less than 5 students, the class will not be offered.




    Students in the program will receive university-level academic credits for successful completion of the requirements. Upon completion of a 10-week course students will be given the equivalent of three university style credits.




    After the payment of tuition fee, the amount that student paid could be refund the total amount (except the Application Fee) and from the date that the class begins, the refund policy is as follows

    • Until 1/3 from the class begins: Refund 66.7% of Tuition Fee
    • Until 1/2 from the class begins: Refund 50% of Tuition Fee
    • Over 1/2 from the class begins: Non-refundable
