The KLI graduation ceremony was held at the KLI auditorium on June 12th. Family and friends were invited to the ceremony to celebrate the graduates receiving their certificate from the KLI Director Mr. Choi, Moon-Gyoo. Total 51 students from 10 countries graduated from the KLI on the day and 4,138 students have graduated from the KLI in the past 48 years.
Dr. John Linton (인요한), the director of the international clinic, delivered a congratulatory address to the graduates at the ceremony. He told them his various experiences in Korea. He said, “Korean people are characterized by their generosity, warmth, and kindness, and plainness. One of the most subtle, yet heartwarming possessions of the Korean people is ‘jeong’, roughly translated as ‘affection’.” His address was greeted enthusiastically by the graduates.
In response to Dr. Linton’s address, one representative graduate, Ms. Sonja Wubben, made a speech. She said, "We would like to thank all instructors who have helped us and we will keep our pleasant memories at Yonsei KLI in my heart."
