Celebration party was held for the first school superintendent
of KLI, Prof. Park Chang-hae’s publication of a book
at 5:00 p.m on December 21st at the KLI auditorium.
Prof. Park Chang-hae opened the Korean language school,
KLI in 1959 at Yonsei University 50 years ago thinking
that this language training will be absolutely necessary
in the future. And he became the first superintendent
working as a pioneer of the Korean language training
for 14 years until he retired in 1974.
He published a book this time titled “Study on modern
Korean language syntax” with as much as 1,400 pages,
which is evaluated as an important book in the field
of Korean language. At this party more than 50 KLI related
persons attended to congratulate him. ILRE director,
Choi, Moon-Gyoo made a speech defining the meaning of
this party that “It has a significant meaning to hold
a celebration party at KLI for the book publishing of
the first school superintendent, Prof. Park Chang-hae
who is a living witness in the history of Yonsei Korean
language education”.
