Remodeled KLI Reference Room was opened in April. We displayed many literary works that will satisfy the students while taking away the existing old books in March. For the amenities and convenience, we replaced the floor with better one and hung photos on the wall, and arranged computers for the free search of internet at no cost.

We purchased many valuable translated Korean literary works for the students; they are in English, Japanese, Chinese, German, French, Spanish and Russian. Thus, the students will be able to approach easily to the Korean culture. We are planning to display about 1,000 books in the future.

We also arranged a special corner for the specialized references of Korean language training especially for the ITKLI students. This reference corner can be used by the KLI students who would like to study the Korean language more in depth.
For the time being, this Reference Room can be used by Level 5 and 6 of KLI students from 2:00 pm till 5:00 pm. Of course, in the future, it will be open to everybody.

The director of ILRE, Choi, Moon-Gyoo mentioned in relation with reopening of the Reference Room as follows;
“KLI will try its best constantly to make an agreeable environment for the students and to make the students access easily to the Korean culture. Especially, Reference Room will provide a complex cultural space as a function of library and that of a café as well.”
