In the event of <Bom Bom Story Festival> in commemoration of late Kim Yu-Jung’s centennial birthday, many KLI students won prizes.    
 
Kim Yu-Jung is a great novelist who left memorable trace in the Korean history of literature. He left many characteristic works that depicts country atmosphere and they are still beloved by many readers. Gangwon Province and the City of Chuncheon arranged variety of events such as Drama Festival and Music Festival beginning from the end of April this year in commemoration of his birthday 100 years ago.

Among those events, <Kim Yu-Jung Literary Works Festival> was the most attractive one which was held from April 26 till 27 at the Kim Yu-Jung Literary Village. Four of our KLI students in Level 5 of Regular Program participated in that Festival and they could get remarkable results.
They are studying in the course of “Reading Korean Literature” in this spring term lectured by Prof. Kim Sung-Sook. They won prizes in the <Kim Yu-Jung Essay Contest> and <Kim Yu-Jung Novel Reading Contest in Three Dimension> respectively.  

ILRE director, Choi, Moon-Gyoo, complimented them calling them to his room and mentioned “You made brilliant achievement to show to the public that KLI students’ Korean language power is extraordinary.”
